About the Tour of İstanbul
The Tour of İstanbul, one of the most anticipated events on the international cycling calendar, brings the stars of the cycling world to İstanbul from September 4-7, 2025. This prestigious organization will feature 135 professional cyclists from 17 teams and 13 countries, setting the stage for an unforgettable competition amidst the unique beauty of the city.
This challenging four-day race consists of four stages that showcase İstanbul’s diverse geography and historical texture:

Stage 1: Beykoz (Thursday, September 4)
The race kicks off with a short but technical 7.5 km course in the Beykoz Sports Forest. With a total ascent of 140 m, cyclists will get a fast start to the tour. -
Stage 2: Şile (Friday, September 5)
On the second day, the demanding Şile stage awaits the cyclists, featuring 2333 m of climbing over a distance of 150.1 km. This will be a critical day for climbers looking to gain an advantage in the general classification. -
Stage 3: Arnavutköy (Saturday, September 6)
As the longest stage of the tour, the Arnavutköy course will test the riders’ endurance with its 165.7 km distance and 2191 m of total ascent. -
Stage 4: Fatih (Sunday, September 7)
The final stage of the Tour of İstanbul will be held in Fatih, the heart of the Historic Peninsula. At the end of this fast-paced 94.3 km stage, the overall champion of the tour will be crowned.
Held under the auspices of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Youth and Sports , the Tour of İstanbul is part of the UCI Europe Tour, making a significant contribution to the international promotion of our country and the city of İstanbul.
